Site update (Additional working hours)
We would like to inform you about a temporary change to the working hours at Botanical Place. On Wednesday 22 March and Wednesday 29 March, we will have a small team working until 10pm instead of 6pm.
These extra hours are necessary so we can complete a critical part of the concrete pouring without interruption. This work involves smoothing and levelling the poured concrete while it is at a specific stage in its curing process. We have received permission from the local authorities.
The machinery required for this work is relatively light and our team will do its utmost to keep noise levels down during the later hours. We will reduce some of the lighting but must also ensure that the people on site are working in a safe environment.
We understand this work may be a disruption for some people and we apologise for this. Our team will do its best to mitigate the noise and light disruption. We continue to make good progress and the works are tracking well against our build programme.
We are not proposing any further dates with extended working hours but we will contact you if this changes. We are happy for you to get in touch if you have any further questions. |

AGM of the Byfleet, West Byfleet & Pyrford Residents' Association
Yesterday evening, the RVG Sustainability Manager Paul Bowtell attended the Residents' Association AGM at the Roman Catholic church on Madeira Road. He is responsible for developing and implementing RVG's sustainability strategy and ensuring it is implemented in our operations and village culture.
Paul's presentation to the AGM was about creating a sustainable community at Botanical Place. There are two important factors in this. The first is meeting our net zero carbon targets, both for the development and the day-to-day operations when Botanical Place is completed. The second is enhancing our role in the wider area, by generating employment and facililating community-led activities.

3D architectural model
You may remember from January that we commissioned a 3D architectural model of Botanical Place, which we plan to put on display when the marketing suite opens later this Spring. A member of our team visited the finished model at PRP Architects in central London. We are pleased to share a few of the photos from the visit. We are looking forward to the day it comes to West Byfleet and you can see it for yourselves. |
