Site update - extended hours |
|
As previously communicated, the site’s active hours were changed from 18:00 to 22:00 for the 22nd and 29th March. Based on the predicted workflow, we now envisage late working twice or possibly three times a week. The upcoming dates are Monday 17th April and Friday 21st April.
There are several factors which will influence this, not least adverse weather which makes precise scheduling difficult. We anticipate this level of work will continue until the late summer. However, if there is a period of extended favourable weather, we hope to complete the concrete pouring sooner.
These extra hours are required in order to complete a specific part of the concrete pouring programme. This involves smoothing and levelling the poured concrete while it is at a specific stage in its curing process. This is time sensitive meaning that once started, the process needs to be completed within the same working day.

Our communication
As you know, we will always try to keep our neighbours and the wider community up to date on the work we are doing. When complete, the centre of West Byfleet will be rejuvenated, with new shops and amenities, a vibrant public square, community spaces, public parking and, of course, 196 exciting new apartments creating independent living for older, local people. In order to finish this project, there is going to be some disruption during the construction and completion phases.
Please do let us know if you have any questions or concerns or if you would like to know more about what Botanical Place will bring to West Byfleet. |
