Site update
As you may have noticed, the onsite team were working on a Saturday morning last week. While this will not become the norm, weekend work before one o’clock may sometimes be necessary as we continue to pour concreate – a process where getting the timing right is crucial.
As we finish up sections of the basement, Blocks B and C are starting to rise upwards. Looking at the image below, you can see the core has been built up to the first floor, ready for sections two and three to be added.

Brooklands College Careers Fair
On Wednesday this week, our Botanical Place contractor Higgins attended the Brooklands College Careers Fair. Higgins spoke to students about forging a career in construction and provided advice on how to navigate the path to a fulfilling job role.
The Higgins team were extremely pleased to have been invited and enjoyed meeting many inspiring young people. Adding, if we sparked the thoughts of only one student and their journey into the construction industry then our day was thoroughly well spent.

Distillers of Surrey Visit
In keeping with our theme of botanicals, our sales and marketing team have been busy visiting the Distillers of Surrey in Ripley. Following an obligatory ‘gin tasting and testing tour’, the team learned about the distilling process from botanical to bottle. While an enjoyable way to spend any Friday, the team had their work-caps on, discussing opportunities for collaboration and perhaps a signature Botanical Place gin – cheers! Watch this space. |
