Prince Philip Hospital Theatre Department has recently asked us to remind all MIA representatives of the importance of registering your visit before attending site and reporting to Reception upon arrival.

Important – Theatre and Day Surgery Visits in Wales

Please be reminded that any representative accessing Theatre Departments or Day Surgery Units in Wales must have the following uploaded to their MIA profile before attending site:

• An in-date DBS certificate (issued within the last 3 years)
• Evidence of Hepatitis B vaccination status, including if you are currently part-way through the vaccination course

Please note that if these requirements have not been met, your appointment may be cancelled. In some cases, failure to comply with these credentialing requirements could also result in disruption to patient care, including the potential cancellation of planned procedures.

Please log your visit 24–48 hours before attending (unless it’s a genuine emergency or trauma case).
Early booking = smoother access + better coordination.

☑️2. Wear Your MIA ID Badge

Your badge shows you’re approved, trained, and ready to be on site.
Make sure it’s visible at all times.
