In a few days time, I'll be digging out my passport, triple checking the weather forecast  ...

.... probably throwing an extra jumper and trenchcoat in the suitcase, and getting ready for the long haul flight to the UK.

But I'm not doing it so I can bask in the European sun (Sydney is warming up nicely atm) - I'm heading over to the Masters Events Trauma conference being held at Oxford University.

I am looking forward to four jam-packed days of hearing from thought leaders, researchers and pioneers in trauma, mental illness and wellbeing. My role as a mediator brings me in constant contact with people who have experienced a trauma of some kind, or are simply finding that being involved in the legal process is creating its own form of trauma and strain on their mental health and wellbeing.

Many people have said they would be interested in hearing more about my learnings and observations from the conference, so I'll be sharing a newsletter with brief snippets of my learnings and observations each day. The format will include the speaker's name and topic, a short summary of what I learned during the session, and how I can apply that learning to mediation and claims handling, if relevant, along with links to any resources referenced during the session.

If you are interested in receiving the newsletter you can opt by clicking the link below - the newsletter will only be sent during, and shortly after, the conference.
