Just a heads-up from the Queen Alexandra Hospital Theatre Team at  Portsmouth Hospitals University NHS Trust: they use MIA to manage all supplier visits — and they’ve asked us to remind you of the key steps every cardholder should follow.

1. Book in Advance

Please log your visit 24–48 hours before attending (unless it’s a genuine emergency or trauma case).  They will turn away visitors without an appointment.
Early booking = smoother access + better coordination.

2. Wear Your MIA ID Badge

Your badge shows you’re approved, trained, and ready to be on site.
Make sure it’s visible at all times.

3. Check In & Out via the App

Download the MIA App: Get the app here

  • Check in when you arrive
  • Check out when you leave
It’s quick, easy — and helps keep hospitals safe and accountable. 

Signal can be sporadic in Theatres - so please try to check in before arrival at the reception desk.
