2026 Newsletter!

As we head into a new year, we'd like to update our partner customers with what we've been working on, and upcoming development plans:

  • We've been meeting with teams at EPA on the new Unified Platform (UP) and the related reporting requirements. We have a lot of the structure for tracking monitors in the existing AirVision database, it would be easily supported by those using our Asset Tracking / CATS tools, but we are also committed on building the tools necessary for customers who don't have / use the Asset Tracking / CATS tools. The requirements are a bit in flux as of this writing, but we will be following the EPA requirements closely and developing a timetable when requirements become more firm.

  • Sourcing of computer parts remains a challenge going into 2026 as demand for AI servers is making RAM and SSDs harder and more expensive to source. Consequently, we are accelerating our inventory orders with the goal to get way ahead of shortages.

  • We are looking at modernizing our product training programs, with the goal of being able to provide videos in a learning management system (LMS), accessible at any time at no cost for customers on active support agreements. Agencies and users can book 'question and answer' time to fill the gaps between what the training videos present and your agency's particular questions and goals.

  • Similarly, we are experimenting with a support chatbot to supplement our existing support system. But let us be clear- such a tool is meant to supplement our support resources, not to eliminate any of the highly trained technical support that you have come to expect and defines Agilaire's commitment to its customer base. We are always available, and we don't expect this tool to handle the more complex cases and questions. Having a tool that can assist with answering a good number of inquiries on demand is worth pursuing. We are definitely interested in hearing your feedback when we field it. We will update our customer base via a future newsletter as soon as new support tools and resources are ready for use.
  •  AirVision and Model 8872 Software Updates (version 4.10):
  • Wind Rose Report can now include previous years of data in a time range inquiry (e.g., May data for 2026, 2025, 2024, etc).
  • Support for XC qualifier code
  • EPA Asset Report updated based on new guidance. Option added to exclude assets from EPA Asset Report
  • New Calibration Drift report
  • Improved permissions handling in Asset Tracking
  • AQS Text Import can now import flow rate verification records.
  • Favorite Query Blocks
  • Channel names up to 30 characters supported for 8872 loggers.
  • Limit Lines added to Average Data Trend Reports (where H and L limits configured for related logger channel)
This and other improvements detailed in release notes are on our web site.

Conferences: Uncertainty in funding continues to cloud our industry. We are hoping that the Region IV Managers meeting will happen in 2026, and we expect to be present at the National Tribal Air monitoring conference. Again, sharing of technical information and industry news is critical to maintaining our role in public health.
