Dear {{customFields.573887}},

We hope you are well.

As an MIA cardholder, we would like to thank you for your continued support in working with healthcare organisations across the UK.

We have recently been asked by Liverpool University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust to remind all MIA representatives of the importance of following the correct procurement process when discussing new products or services.

Please be aware that all commercial discussions relating to new products, services, or opportunities must go through the Trust’s Procurement team first. Suppliers should not approach Consultants or clinical teams directly regarding commercial discussions without following the appropriate procurement route.

Any suppliers who do not follow this process may face further action or repercussions in line with the Trust’s policies and procedures.

Your cooperation helps ensure that all engagement between industry representatives and healthcare professionals is managed appropriately, transparently and in line with Trust governance requirements.

Before attending a hospital visit, please follow our top 10 tips:

1. Book in Advance

Please log your visit 24–48 hours before attending (unless it’s a genuine emergency or trauma case).
Early booking = smoother access + better coordination.

2. Wear Your MIA ID Badge

Your badge shows you’re approved, trained, and ready to be on site.
Make sure it’s visible at all times.

3. Check In & Out via the App

Download the MIA App: Get the app here

  • Check in when you arrive
  • Check out when you leave

It’s quick, easy — and helps keep hospitals safe and accountable.
