Hi {{customFields.573887}},

We have recently been asked by NHS Grampian to review the site visit requirements for MIA Members and would like to remind all MIA Members of their responsibilities when visiting NHS Grampian sites.

1. Recording Your Visits

All visits to NHS Grampian sites must be recorded through the MIA platform. Recording visits via MIA provides assurance to the Board that visits are being managed appropriately and that representatives remain compliant with both local requirements and wider industry regulations.

If you are planning to visit site, please ensure your visit is registered through MIA before attending.

2. Supervision on Site

While on hospital premises, representatives must be supervised at all times by an appropriate member of hospital staff.

NHS Grampian has also clarified that if a representative is expected to be left alone with patients for any reason, a valid PVG (Protecting Vulnerable Groups) Scheme Membership must be in place.  For further information on the PVG scheme please click here.

3. Make sure to wear your MIA card and Check In & Out via the App

Download the MIA App: Get the app here

  • Check in when you arrive
  • Check out when you leave

It’s quick, easy — and helps keep hospitals safe and accountable.

We appreciate your cooperation in helping us maintain a safe, compliant and transparent environment for healthcare organisations, patients and industry representatives alike.
