Hi {{customFields.573887}},

We are delighted to announce that Harefield Hospital (formerly part of Royal Brompton and Harefield NHS Foundation Trust, now part of Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust) will launch their use of the MIA system from Monday 12th August 2024 within their Operating Theatres and Cardiac Catheter Labs.

All representatives that are visiting the hospital from Monday, and do not already have pre-arranged visits, will be expected to register visits via MIA rather than the previous credentialing provider.

Both MIA and the hospital acknowledge that this is a short notice notification, and therefore, the hospital have agreed to a grace period of one month – allowing all visitors to ensure that their MIA membership is up to date, DBS certificates are dated within the last 3 years, and they are familiar with the MIA booking system. Those visiting Theatres and Cath Labs should ensure that they are also on the correct MIA Membership Level of Gold. For more information on this, please click here.

Please note, if you do not have an appointment arranged and approved by the hospital via MIA or the previous credentialing system, you will be turned away. Cold calling and dropping in is expressly prohibited and will result in your removal from site. Those who repeatedly flout the rules face a ban from site.

The hospital will allow representatives to register visits on the existing credentialing provider for now, but we want to ensure that you are aware, from September, anyone without a registered appointment via MIA and a valid MIA card will be turned away from the premises.

To register your visit, please select ‘Royal Brompton and Harefield Hospitals (Part of Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust)’ from the dropdown menu on www.miaweb.co.uk or your MIA App. Please ensure that you are wearing your MIA Card when attending the hospital to differentiate you from hospital staff.

Here at MIA, we are excited to welcome Harefield Hospital, and look forward to Royal Brompton Hospital utilising the system from October 2024, along with Guy’s Hospital, St Thomas’s Hospital and the Evelina London Children’s Hospital by the end of the year. As soon as these hospitals launch their use of the system, we will notify you.

By the close of 2024, we hope to be able to announce that all representatives that cover London will no longer have to be signed up for another credentialing supplier and will only require MIA Membership.
