Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust use the MIA System to manage and verify all commercial suppliers (including but not limited to MedTech and pharmaceutical representatives, service engineers, clinical trainers and couriers) visiting anywhere within their hospital sites. Therefore, they require all visiting commercial suppliers to any department or team within their hospitals to: - Wear their MIA badge while on site.
- Ensure that they have pre-registered their visits through the MIA Appointment Booking System at least 48 hours in advance, unless called for urgent cases. Please be aware that signal issues on site may limit or restrict access and advice is to pre-register before arrival.
- Upon arrival, go to the main Reception desk and check-in using the MIA App or by scanning the MIA QR poster displayed.
Please be aware they implement a 'no card, no appointment, no entry' policy for all suppliers including couriers delivering or collecting stock. They would also like to confirm to all suppliers that the credentialling requirements are a Standard DBS and a Hep B inoculation for visits to areas where clinically invasive procedures take place. Please find below a link to read the update from the Trust in full: |
