ProZero 15m Research Workboat– New Design 2026 |
|
Tuco Marine Group has unveiled the 2026 design of its 15-meter ProZero Research Workboat (Design No. 5000-05-40-0), an advanced evolution of a proven platform tailored for offshore survey and scientific operations. This latest version incorporates feedback from field operations to enhance performance, versatility, and crew comfort. The vessel’s shallow 0.73-meter draft makes it particularly suitable for fishery surveys, subsea mapping, and complex data collection using both mounted and deployable sensors. Constructed from lightweight carbon fibre sandwich with a PVC core, the hull provides exceptional strength, natural buoyancy, and improved onboard comfort even during extended missions. Powered by twin inboard diesel engines with Volvo Penta IPS propulsion, the workboat can reach speeds exceeding 35 knots, while maintaining stability for towing, surface diving, and a wide range of offshore research activities. The 2026 design features a walkaround cabin with panoramic windows for enhanced visibility, dedicated sonar mounts, a robust A-frame, and fully integrated navigation and survey systems. With these upgrades, the ProZero Research Workboat offers researchers a reliable, high-performance platform for demanding offshore missions, combining speed, flexibility, and advanced technology.
